📋 Description

• Develop Java-based solutions according to detailed technical specifications provided by subject matter experts • Implement Java Enterprise components, including handlers, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs), and Data Access Objects (DAOs) • Develop business logic and database interaction layers • Create and optimize SQL queries and database integrations • Write, execute, and maintain unit tests • Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards • Participate in code reviews and support integration activities • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery • Contribute to a large-scale initiative transforming legacy COBOL/CICS applications into a modern Java-based architecture in the healthcare industry

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial Java development experience • Strong Java, COBOL, and enterprise application development background • Actian DataConnect version 11.5 or higher preferred, including building and maintaining integration maps and processes • HIPAA X12 EDI experience with 834, 835, 837, 270/271, and 276/277 transactions, including X12-to-XML transformation • XML, XSLT, and DTD/schema handling • Message queue integration using IBM MQ/JMS is a plus • SQL/database and API/integration experience • Comfortable working within an established application architecture • Healthcare payer experience strongly preferred; Medicare/Medicaid a plus • English level B2 or better
