📋 Description

• Prepare accurate estimates for Australian residential, commercial and electrical fit-out projects • Review architectural plans, electrical drawings, circuit schedules, specifications and tender documentation to determine scope of work • Complete material, labour and equipment take-offs • Prepare quotations, tender pricing, project budgets and submission documents • Price variations, additional works and scope changes • Obtain, assess and compare supplier quotations and material pricing • Produce electrical shop drawings and as-built drawings using AutoCAD • Review and mark up plans and technical documentation using Bluebeam • Prepare operations, maintenance and project handover manuals • Manage drawing revisions and technical documentation • Assist project managers with costing, procurement, coordination, reporting and administration • Prepare monthly progress-claim spreadsheets and supporting documentation • Track project costs, labour, materials and supplier expenses • Maintain job and project records in Simpro or similar systems • Use Procore or other construction-management platforms where required • Monitor tender platforms and assess prospective opportunities • Support tender preparation, pricing and timely submission • Maintain tender pipelines, CRM records and tender outcomes • Help establish and grow a Philippines-based team of estimators, CAD drafters and project support professionals • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training and mentoring team members • Develop standard operating procedures, templates and quality-control processes • Review team estimates, take-offs and technical drawings • Allocate workloads, manage deadlines and monitor team capacity • Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve estimating, documentation and administration workflows • Evaluate emerging tools and recommend technology improvements

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of electrical estimating experience, including proven experience supporting Australian projects • Strong experience estimating commercial electrical fit-outs • Demonstrated understanding of Australian electrical construction and tendering practices • Strong working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and related Australian electrical standards • Ability to interpret architectural plans, electrical drawings, circuit schedules, specifications and tender documents • Knowledge of electrical power and distribution, lighting, lighting controls, switchboards, cable sizing, RCDs and protection systems • Familiarity with structured cabling, fibre, security and CCTV systems • Experience preparing detailed labour and material take-offs • Experience obtaining supplier pricing and assessing competing quotations • Experience pricing variations and additional works • Strong AutoCAD and Bluebeam skills • Experience using Simpro or comparable job and project-management software • Advanced Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based estimating skills • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills • Strong numerical, analytical and commercial decision-making abilities • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple tenders, projects and deadlines independently • Confidence communicating with Australian-based project teams, suppliers and stakeholders • Procore experience (highly desirable) • Experience producing electrical shop drawings and as-built documentation (highly desirable) • Experience preparing operations and handover manuals (highly desirable) • Experience preparing monthly progress claims (highly desirable) • Experience managing or mentoring estimating and drafting teams (highly desirable) • Familiarity with Australian tender platforms and subscription services (highly desirable) • CRM and tender-pipeline management experience (highly desirable) • Experience with C-Bus, Dynalite, KNX, Pixie, Fibaro or similar lighting-control systems (highly desirable) • Exposure to Level 2 electrical works (highly desirable) • Residential construction, renovation or property-project estimating experience (highly desirable) • Experience using AI or automation to improve estimating and technical workflows (highly desirable) • Must disclose existing ongoing roles or client work • Must reflect the engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor”
