📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend applications and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot • Deploy, manage, and scale microservices on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes • Integrate production-grade LLMs such as Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini into backend workflows • Architect and manage SQL and NoSQL data layers for performance and scalability • Own features end-to-end through deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production debugging • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture, testing, and system reliability • Overlap consistently with Central Time teams during standard Austin business hours

🎯 Requirements

• 4–7 years of hands-on experience building production backend applications at Software Engineer II level • Strong Java expertise with Spring Boot and REST API design • Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases • Experience deploying and managing AWS services using Docker and Kubernetes • Practical experience integrating production-grade AI models/LLMs, such as Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini • Experience owning features through deployment, monitoring, and production debugging • Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills • Consistent overlap with Central Time teams during standard Austin business hours • Nice-to-have: Saga pattern and Transactional Outbox experience • Nice-to-have: Kafka or RabbitMQ and event-driven architecture experience • Nice-to-have: Cucumber for BDD and automated testing • Nice-to-have: Experience building autonomous AI agents
