📋 Description

• Develop and operate business-critical applications and services, with a focus on Java and Kotlin. • Analyze, stabilize, modernize, and meaningfully enhance existing legacy applications. • Develop APIs, integration services, and adapters that connect product solutions with legacy systems. • Help shape an integration architecture based on REST APIs, OpenAPI, and event-driven and messaging technologies. • Gradually replace direct system connections with clearly defined interfaces and services. • Develop and operate applications in a containerized, Azure-based infrastructure. • Work with Git/GitLab, CI/CD, Docker, Linux, and relational databases. • Analyze errors and performance issues across system boundaries and develop sustainable technical solutions. • Help shape technical and architectural decisions. • Support the team through code reviews and professional knowledge sharing. • Collaborate with product IT teams and other technical teams to ensure the reliable interaction of new and existing systems.

🎯 Requirements

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical field; alternatively, several years of relevant professional experience and equivalent technical expertise. • Several years of professional software development experience, ideally in complex or business-critical IT environments. • Excellent knowledge of Java and Kotlin, with practical experience using them in production. • Excellent knowledge of modern software development principles and a solid understanding of maintainable, robust software architectures. • Experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI, as well as integrating distributed systems. • Experience with SQL and relational databases. • Experience with Git, CI/CD, containers/Docker, and Linux. • Willingness to engage extensively with existing code and applications that have evolved over time. • Structured and self-directed working style. • Fluent German, both written and spoken. • Knowledge of Rust and/or Go, as well as experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or comparable messaging technologies, are additional advantages. • Experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud-native applications, and event-driven architecture are additional advantages. • Knowledge of legacy application modernization and the integration of complex IT systems are additional advantages. • Industry knowledge in the energy sector is welcome but not required.
