📋 Description

• Manage Customer Technical Relations after the point of sale for all Intuitive Surgical products in an assigned territory • Serve as a senior da Vinci Surgical technical expert across all system platforms • Analyze customer requirements and support pre-site planning and installation coordination • Autonomously manage and schedule planned and unplanned customer appointments • Assess follow-up visits to maximize system reliability and achieve uptime guarantees • Assess functionality and repair Intuitive Surgical products using discretion and independent judgment • Identify and recommend product or process enhancements to Product Support and Product Engineering • Provide on-site technical and training support to Junior and Field Service Engineers • Engage service contract renewal discussions with hospitals by presenting service offerings • Assess customer technical training needs and provide technical training or support in an operating room environment • Manage administrative duties including spare parts inventory, RMAs, calibrated equipment, training documentation, preventative maintenance scheduling, service contract billings, system configurations, and call escalation data • Support Sales Training and Marketing events by analyzing potential issues and developing strategies to resolve them

🎯 Requirements

• College degree in applied science or engineering preferred; or equivalent training/experience which may include extensive course work or study in engineering or applied science • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, including experience in the medical device industry • Strong written and oral communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Strong administrative and record keeping skills • Strong knowledge of Operating Room protocol • Track record of solid customer relationships with Surgeons and Hospital staff • Proven track record in providing training support • Well versed at presenting the value proposition of service offerings • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems • Ability to travel up to 25%, dependent upon account distribution
