📋 Description

• Review roadway images, inspection records, and AI-generated outputs • Determine whether pavement distress types, severity levels, and condition assessments are accurate and consistent with PCI methodology • Annotate or validate pavement features and distress patterns, including cracking, rutting, spalling, patching, and weathering • Analyze roadway imagery or survey excerpts • Validate AI-generated classifications of pavement distress • Provide written feedback explaining model misidentifications and severity-level errors • Clarify distinctions between similar distress categories, sampling-unit evaluation, and the impact of field conditions on PCI scoring and reporting • Help train and evaluate next-generation AI models

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience conducting or interpreting Pavement Condition Index (PCI) surveys • Familiarity with PCI surveys, pavement distress definitions, and rating criteria • Ability to review roadway images, inspection records, and condition reports • Experience with inspection imagery, condition reports, or roadway maintenance planning is highly valuable • Clear written communication and ability to explain inspection reasoning and classification decisions in a structured way • Attention to visual detail • Ability to consistently apply pavement distress definitions and rating criteria • No prior AI or technical background is required • Contractor must supply a secure computer and high-speed internet
