📋 Description

• Serve as a technical authority for the architecture, engineering, operation, and evolution of provider and carrier networks • Lead the diagnosis and stabilization of critical, complex, or system-wide-impact incidents • Design, review, and evolve access, aggregation, transport, core, edge, BNG/BRAS, and CGNAT architectures • Conduct technical assessments, identifying risks, vulnerabilities, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities • Define standards for configuration, security, high availability, convergence, capacity, observability, and resilience • Plan and oversee high-risk changes, ensuring impact analysis, testing, rollback procedures, and acceptance criteria • Work with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, routing policies, and Layer 2 and Layer 3 services • Evaluate traffic engineering, expansion, capacity, redundancy, and route optimization scenarios • Develop solution designs, diagrams, procedures, technical reports, root cause analyses, and evolution plans • Validate solutions, projects, and configurations proposed by the team, customers, carriers, manufacturers, and suppliers • Support technical decisions in strategic projects by translating risks, impacts, and alternatives • Mentor and develop analysts, promoting technical reviews, standardization, and knowledge sharing • Contribute to automation, tools, and processes that improve the security, efficiency, and quality of deliverables • Represent NIIS technically in meetings, crisis situations, and architecture discussions with customers and partners

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience in the architecture, engineering, advanced support, or operation of provider and carrier networks • Experience with projects, assessments, critical incidents, and advanced troubleshooting in multivendor, high-availability environments • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, switching, routing, high availability, and troubleshooting • Strong knowledge of BGP, including policies, filters, attributes, communities, route selection, redundancy, security, and convergence • Strong knowledge of OSPF and/or IS-IS • Solid knowledge of MPLS/LDP and services such as L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, or equivalent technologies • Experience with VLAN, QinQ, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, MC-LAG, VRRP, and BFD • Knowledge of BNG/BRAS, PPPoE, RADIUS, NAT/CGNAT, QoS, traffic engineering, and access networks • Ability to interpret topologies, configurations, forwarding tables, logs, telemetry, flows, and packet captures • Advanced experience with CLI, diagnostics, and solution design in multivendor environments • Ability to develop and present projects, standards, reports, change plans, and root cause analyses • Experience providing technical leadership during incidents, projects, and critical changes in high-availability networks • Experience with vendors such as Huawei, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, Datacom, ZTE, FiberHome, or A10 is a plus • Knowledge of EVPN, Segment Routing, RPKI, FlowSpec, BGP-LS, telemetry, NetFlow/sFlow, or routing security is a plus • Network automation experience with Python, Ansible, APIs, Git, testing, or configuration validation is a plus • CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, HCIP/HCIE, Nokia NRS II/SRA, MTCINE, or equivalent certifications are a plus • Technical depth, systems thinking, and the ability to turn complex problems into actionable decisions and plans • Autonomy and accountability when handling high-impact incidents and changes • Collaborative profile and the ability to develop other professionals • Clear communication with technical teams, leadership, customers, manufacturers, and suppliers
