📋 Description

• Handle, analyze, and track incidents, requests, and changes related to clients’ network infrastructure • Troubleshoot connectivity and services across Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks • Configure and maintain routers, switches, and other network equipment • Analyze interfaces, MAC and ARP tables, routes, adjacencies, logs, counters, and other evidence • Work with VLAN, QinQ, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, and MPLS/LDP • Prepare change procedures including validation, execution, post-change testing, and rollback plans • Execute and monitor scheduled maintenance windows, managing risks and communications • Record activities, evidence, and technical decisions in tickets while meeting SLAs • Interact with clients, carriers, vendors, and technical teams • Keep documentation, diagrams, inventories, configuration standards, and knowledge bases up to date • Identify recurring failures, risks, and opportunities for improvement • Share knowledge and support less experienced analysts

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience operating, supporting, or managing networks, preferably in service provider or carrier environments • Hands-on experience configuring equipment, troubleshooting connectivity, and monitoring changes • Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, subnetting, and high-availability fundamentals • Knowledge of switching, including VLAN, QinQ, STP/RSTP/MSTP, and link aggregation using LACP • Knowledge of static and dynamic routing, with practical experience in OSPF and BGP and familiarity with IS-IS • Ability to analyze routes, policies, adjacencies, convergence, latency, packet loss, and interface utilization • Experience configuring and troubleshooting via CLI on equipment from at least one major network equipment manufacturer serving carrier networks • Familiarity with ping, traceroute, MTR, tcpdump or Wireshark, and DNS queries • Familiarity with MPLS/LDP, NAT, QoS, gateway redundancy, and Layer 2 transport services • Familiarity with Linux, SSH, SNMP, Syslog, and log analysis • Experience with incident and change management, technical documentation, and SLA compliance • Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, prioritization, and availability to work shifts, on-call rotations, or scheduled maintenance windows • Courses or certifications in networking, telecommunications equipment, Linux, ITIL, or related fields are a plus • Knowledge of automation with Python, Ansible, or scripting, as well as familiarity with Git, is a plus
