📋 Description

• Lead the diagnosis and stabilization of critical Layer 2 and Layer 3, transport, edge, and access incidents • Correlate topology, configurations, routes, adjacencies, logs, counters, and metrics to identify root causes and systemic impacts • Design and evolve architectures, configuration standards, and mechanisms for high availability, resilience, and convergence • Plan, review, and execute critical changes, including risk analysis, method of procedure, testing, rollback, and post-change validation • Provide advanced support for BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS/LDP, routing policies, redundancy, and Layer 2 and Layer 3 services • Analyze and resolve loops, MAC flapping, adjacency instability, asymmetry, black holes, saturation, and performance degradation • Support the evolution of edge environments, BNG/BRAS, CGNAT, IPv6, QoS, access networks, and transport networks • Lead root cause analyses and problem management, defining corrective and preventive actions • Contribute to network projects, assessments, and improvements, transforming technical risks into prioritized recommendations • Validate solutions and configurations proposed by analysts, customers, carriers, and vendors • Serve as a technical reference, mentoring the team, reviewing diagnoses, and promoting knowledge sharing • Define and maintain documentation, diagrams, templates, procedures, acceptance criteria, and operational standards • Ensure clear technical records and communications while complying with SLAs, escalation procedures, and change governance

🎯 Requirements

• Solid, proven experience in the operation, engineering, advanced support, or management of service provider and carrier networks • Practical experience providing technical leadership during critical incidents, performing advanced troubleshooting, reviewing configurations, and implementing high-impact changes • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, subnetting, switching, routing, and high availability • Advanced proficiency in BGP, including policies, filters, attributes, communities, route selection, convergence, and troubleshooting • Advanced proficiency in OSPF or IS-IS, with the ability to analyze adjacencies, metrics, areas or levels, redistribution, and convergence • Strong knowledge of MPLS/LDP and services such as L2VPN, L3VPN, or VPLS • Experience with VLAN, QinQ, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, MC-LAG, VRRP, and BFD or equivalent technologies • Knowledge of BNG/BRAS, PPPoE, RADIUS, NAT/CGNAT, QoS, and traffic engineering fundamentals • Advanced proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ping, traceroute, MTR, tcpdump, Wireshark, DNS queries, and log analysis • Advanced experience with CLI-based operations and troubleshooting in multivendor environments • Ability to prepare and review designs, methods of procedure, rollback plans, technical reports, and root cause analyses • Experience with incident and problem management, critical changes, SLAs, and working in on-call rotations, shifts, or scheduled maintenance windows • Technical leadership mindset, autonomy, analytical thinking, systems perspective, accountability, clear communication, and proactivity • Experience with equipment from industry manufacturers such as Huawei, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, Datacom, ZTE, or FiberHome is a plus • Knowledge of Segment Routing, RPKI, FlowSpec, and telemetry is a plus • Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, APIs, and Git is a plus • Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, HCIP, or Nokia NRS II, or equivalent certifications, are a plus
