📋 Description

• Oversee, prepare, review, and execute accurate UK payroll processing • Prepare, validate, and submit payroll data to the external payroll vendor according to schedules and payroll calendars • Partner with the external payroll vendor to monitor SLAs and manage payroll cycles • Support annual processes, payrolling benefits, salary sacrifice schemes, and system setup • Act as a key point of contact for employee compensation queries • Collaborate with internal and external Workforce Administration teams via case management systems to resolve escalations • Review, document, and refine payroll processes • Use Excel/Google Sheets formulas and AI tools to drive automation, data validation, and continuous improvement • Track case volumes, resolution metrics, and service-level performance • Adhere to UK payroll regulations, tax laws, National Insurance standards, company policies, and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct • Complete mandatory compliance training on time

🎯 Requirements

• Proven direct experience in UK Payroll Operations, in-house or vendor side • Comprehensive technical knowledge of UK tax calculations • Knowledge of National Insurance (NI) standards • Experience with salary sacrifice schemes • Experience with system and wagetype setup • Payroll project management knowledge • Hands-on experience with core HRIS, preferably Workday • Experience with case management platforms, ideally ServiceNow • Strong Excel/Google Sheets formula skills • Forward-thinking approach to using AI for automation, data validation, and accuracy • Proven root-cause analysis and conflict-resolution capabilities • Customer-interfacing communication experience • Ability to thrive under pressure • Ability to build partnerships across cross-functional teams • Ability to shift priorities to meet evolving business needs • Ability to comply with UK payroll regulations, tax laws, National Insurance standards, company policies, and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct • Completion of mandatory compliance training on time
