📋 Description

• Partner with leadership to shape technical strategy and ensure roadmaps support business goals • Collaborate with product and development managers to establish cross-functional engineering priorities • Align impact across multi-product, multi-team environments and identify platform consolidation opportunities • Make significant technical decisions and drive projects end-to-end with limited oversight • Write clean, efficient, production-ready backend code across JobGet products • Define testing standards and use AI to generate robust test suites and discover edge cases • Identify and fix bottlenecks, architectural bugs, and performance issues • Evaluate and integrate AI-powered tools to improve operational efficiency and developer productivity • Lead architectural evaluations and design reviews for flexible, scalable systems • Partner with QA on test strategies and automated testing coverage • Lead incident response and postmortem processes • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation across engineering • Elevate engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and technical mentorship • Lead technical discussions and drive aligned decisions • Champion end-to-end ownership, technical excellence, and effective use of AI tools

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a demonstrated track record of leading and executing technically complex, high-impact initiatives from inception through delivery • Recent experience working on a small, agile team contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle in a start-up environment • Primary experience in Go, comfortable working across existing .NET and TypeScript codebases • Experience implementing event-driven architecture within microservices ecosystems using tools like Apache Kafka • Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms • Strong experience with AWS platforms, including an understanding of their capabilities and limitations • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks • Proven ability to operate across organizational lines, influence without authority, build consensus among diverse teams, and drive decisions requiring alignment across product, engineering, and business stakeholders • Deep software engineering fundamentals, with experience in multi-product architectures • Experience working in an environment shaped by acquisitions or rapid growth • Track record of making well-reasoned technical decisions • Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences • Bias for ownership and accountability for outcomes • Comfort with ambiguity and a builder's mindset
