📋 Description

• Analyze and improve gross and contribution margins, inventory efficiency, labor productivity and profitability by channel, product and customer • Understand how purchasing, production, staffing, pricing and sales decisions affect profit, cash flow and working capital • Recommend resource allocation and lead improvements with measurable financial results • Review expenses across software, subscriptions, payroll, logistics, vendors and financial services • Cut unnecessary costs and renegotiate or restructure contracts and retainers • Establish regular expense reviews and optimize payment methods, transaction fees and business card rewards • Own cash flow and financial operations with the bookkeeper, treasury and invoicing lead, and Peru general manager • Ensure P&Ls, receivables, payables, reconciliations and cash-flow forecasts are accurate and timely • Ensure payments are collected and identify cash shortfalls weeks ahead • Challenge financial reports, identify inconsistencies and turn findings into recommendations • Build departmental and role-based KPIs, assign owners and deadlines, establish reporting rhythms and follow up on missed commitments • Keep the founder informed about important exceptions • Audit repetitive work and build AI agents, automated workflows and integrations • Measure time and money saved through automation • Create SOPs, repeatable processes and an accessible source of truth using Notion • Establish ownership, handovers and accessible key information • Lead operations across US finance, e-commerce and Peru manufacturing • Work with the general manager to improve vendors, supply chain and internal operations • Resolve cross-team issues and make decisions within agreed limits • Escalate matters requiring founder authority with clear recommendations • Take responsibility for operational correspondence, decisions and follow-ups currently handled by the founder • Drive actions through to completion

🎯 Requirements

• Proven operational leadership with ownership of cross-department execution, team accountability, performance challenges and decision-making • Experience ideally in a multi-entity, founder-led or 50+ person business • Experience in a physical-product business such as e-commerce, consumer goods, retail, wholesale or manufacturing • Strong understanding of inventory, supply chains, margins and working capital • Ability to interpret P&Ls, cash-flow forecasts and receivables • Ability to assess margins, inventory efficiency, labor productivity and profitability by channel, product or customer • Proven track record with SOPs, KPIs and process improvement • Hands-on AI and automation skills, including workflows and integrations using Zapier, Make, n8n or similar • Ability to build reliable operating systems, documentation and repeatable processes • Ability to become productive with new platforms quickly • High proactivity and sound judgment • Remote work experience with organization and follow-through • Fashion or apparel brand experience is a bonus • Wholesale or private-label experience is a bonus • Notion experience is a bonus • Experience as a founder's operational second-in-command is a bonus • Must be willing to work remotely as an independent contractor • Must be willing to work a full-time primary role with no freelancing or second jobs
