📋 Description

• Join NSW Motorways that was created as a key recommendation of the 2024 Independent Toll Review. • Lead one of NSW’s complex technology environments—resetting the legacy tolling ecosystem and shaping a future ready, customer centred platform. • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead the strategic overhaul of Transport for NSW’s tolling technology landscape. • Oversee risk management, operational continuity and transition‑to‑operations to ensure seamless performance throughout the transformation lifecycle. • Ensure technology decisions are informed by genuine customer and motorist outcomes, embedding a strong customer lens across system design, prioritisation and delivery. • Engage at executive, ministerial adjacent and industry levels - shaping funding cases, orchestrating vendor strategy and navigating a complex regulatory and public scrutiny environment. • Prepare and manage funding submissions and investment cases that support future technology requirements and program delivery.

🎯 Requirements

• Executive leadership experience delivering large scale, high risk technology transformations in legacy environments. • Proven capability modernising transaction heavy, always on platforms (e.g. transport, payments, utilities, large public systems). • Demonstrated leadership in managing transition and embedding new technology environments into business operations. • Highly skilled communicator capable of influencing senior government stakeholders and navigating politically sensitive decision-making environments. • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex environments. • The ability to translate complexity into clear executive decisions, roadmaps and investment cases. • A strong customer and user mindset, ensuring technology enables better public outcomes and serves road user needs. • Deep capability in stakeholder leadership across government, vendors and commercial partners and complex stakeholder ecosystems. • Demonstrated capability in operating in high scrutiny, regulated and politically commercially sensitive environments. • Prior experience with tolling, transport, payments or similarly complex platforms will be highly regarded. • Values‑led leader aligned to the NSW public sector ethos and commitment to public value.
