📋 Description
• Make final publication decisions by evaluating the scientific validity of submitted manuscripts and their suitability for visualizing the protocol • Review new submissions for journal scope and publication-standard compliance • Apply prompt engineering techniques to validate reviewer reports for relevance, completeness, and alignment with journal standards • Use custom AI tools, custom GPTs, and prompt-based workflows for pre-QC checks, including formatting issues, missing sections, language clarity, and guideline adherence • Collaborate with the Production team to move accepted manuscripts efficiently through the production pipeline • Coordinate with peer review and editorial teams to meet review and decision deadlines
🎯 Requirements
• A Ph.D. in life sciences, chemical sciences, or engineering • 3+ years of experience with editorial review and submission-to-acceptance workflows • Prior experience in scientific publishing or peer review is preferred • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English • Strong scientific and technical vocabulary • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality content • Willingness to learn and leverage automation/AI-assisted tools for efficiency • Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Genuine interest in communicating scientific methods through visual media • If applying on LinkedIn, attach your resume in English
