📋 Description

• You analyze our complex data and derive valuable insights using data mining, clustering, forecasting, or recommendation/classification methods. • You ensure the correctness of our data across different systems. • You analyze our data, present the results in an understandable way, and derive concrete strategic actions. • You work closely with Product Management, Community Management, and the executive team — not in an ivory tower, but as a collaborative sparring partner. • You connect quantitative analyses with qualitative feedback from our community to enable well-founded decisions. • You establish best practices such as code reviews and documentation. • You take on technical and, prospectively, disciplinary leadership of a small team, support the development of your colleagues, and further build out the area structurally. • Together with the executive team, you define the long-term data strategy and establish a true data culture within the company.

🎯 Requirements

• You have a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable qualification. • You can not only analyze data but also explain it and translate insights into practical value. • You recognize patterns, understand their business implications, and think in product-focused solutions — not only algorithms. • You communicate complex relationships clearly to non-technical stakeholders and present confidently — even when you need to challenge existing assumptions with data. • You are eager to take on responsibility — as a mentor, in project leadership, or through technical guidance. Formal management experience is a plus but not required. • You have a quick grasp, work in a structured way, and enjoy analyzing large datasets — both structured and unstructured. • You see AI (e.g., LLMs, copilots) as an integral part of modern work. You use relevant tools routinely and have ideas for how we can profitably apply AI to our data analyses or product. • Strong knowledge of SQL and Python (including frameworks such as pandas, scikit-learn). • Experience with statistical analyses and databases, as well as Excel/Google Sheets for preparing and visualizing results. • Solid knowledge of machine learning (forecasting, clustering, categorization) and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow). • Business-fluent German (at least C1) and proficiency in English are required. • Nice to have: knowledge of Java and Mixpanel.
