📋 Description

• Lead cross-functional delivery teams of 4–5 engineers • Report to the Head of Engineering • Own delivery and people outcomes for the team • Create concrete growth plans for every individual contributor • Ensure predictable delivery cadence and quality • Surface risks early, manage scope, and maintain commitments • Address conflict directly and manage underperformance through a clear process • Protect and develop top performers • Partner with Product, Design, and other engineering teams • Provide technical direction on system design and architectural risks without becoming overly hands-on • Introduce AI tools and workflows for code review, documentation, sprint planning, and debugging • Coordinate roadmap-to-release delivery across Product, Design, quality engineering, architecture, and security • Track AI adoption and improve throughput without sacrificing quality • Build people leadership depth as the organization scales • Manage distributed teams across time zones and countries • Drive delivery consistency and cross-functional decision-making • Achieve year-one outcomes including documented growth plans within 60 days, committed-scope delivery within 90 days, proactive retention management, documented performance management, reliable commitments, and increased AI enablement

🎯 Requirements

• Deeply AI-integrated experience; hands-on use of AI workflows such as Claude, Copilot, AI-assisted code review, prompting, or spec-driven development • Experience developing people through concrete career growth plans • Experience managing underperformers through a structured process • Experience leading fully remote teams as the default operating model • Ability to handle team and cross-functional conflict directly and quickly • Ability to use metrics such as velocity, retention risk, and IC growth to guide decisions • Technical credibility through code reviews, architectural input, debugging, or comparable technical work • Ability to delegate effectively and avoid becoming a decision bottleneck • Commitment to people leadership as a primary craft • Ability to proactively surface and manage delivery risks
