📋 Description

• Build and operate robust batch and streaming ingestion pipelines from databases, event streams, and third-party APIs • Own storage architecture across lake, lakehouse, and warehouse environments • Optimize partitioning, cost efficiency, and query speed • Implement orchestration, automated testing, alerting, observability, and clean pipeline recovery • Implement infrastructure as code, CI/CD for data workloads, code reviews, and strict version control • Establish data contracts with data-producing teams and control schema drift • Manage data access, retention, and lineage • Produce clear, comprehensive documentation • Work closely with company leadership, including the CEO and COO • Collaborate directly with clients and customer teams • Participate in technical, cultural, and project/client interviews as part of recruitment

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience building and running data pipelines in production • Ability to articulate lessons learned from production pipeline failures • Experience integrating AI tooling into daily engineering workflows • Strict review discipline for AI-generated code • Fluent English • Comfortable working directly with customer teams • Advanced, production-grade SQL and Python • Production depth in AWS, GCP, or Azure • Solid understanding of cloud principles across providers • Production experience with Airflow, Dagster, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent orchestrator • Cost engineering experience and ability to quantify pipeline savings (valued) • Exposure to regulated environments, GDPR, access control, and auditable lineage (valued) • Snowflake or BigQuery, dimensional or Data Vault modelling (nice to have) • dbt or equivalent transformation frameworks (nice to have) • Spark or PySpark at scale (nice to have) • Databricks (nice to have) • Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, MQTT-class brokers (nice to have) • Embedding pipelines, vector stores, retrieval feeds, feature stores (nice to have) • Parquet, Iceberg, Delta (nice to have) • Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions (nice to have) • Great Expectations, Soda, Monte Carlo (nice to have) • MongoDB and marketing/ad-platform or CRM APIs (nice to have) • Ability to travel nationally and internationally approximately 0%-15% as required • Eligibility verification during recruitment
