📋 Description

• Design and implement highly secure, fault-tolerant APIs and distributed systems architecture • Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to rapidly iterate and prototype digital products • Write clean, well-organized, and fully documented code • Make strategic, proactive decisions on maintaining and upgrading projects • Iterate existing codebases with limited oversight • Work closely with infrastructure and frontend teams • Take ownership of key technology decisions, building for scale and high performance • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and integration • Conduct code reviews and improve ways of working • Develop deep payments expertise and optimize merchant developer experience • Create detailed internal project documentation • Work with and lead a small group of engineers to create reliable, highly secure products • Take full accountability for project delivery and system performance • Complete structured onboarding covering the platform, payment flows, architecture, and engineering practices • Contribute to production work and progressively take on more complex technical challenges • Own a meaningful area of the backend after onboarding

🎯 Requirements

• A high degree of empathy and learning capacity • Senior experience building high-performance distributed systems and scalable architectures • Strong command of Django, Django Rest Framework, Postgres, and Redis • Experience with CI/CD pipeline management and deployment automation • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes • Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD • Experience with modern development practices such as DDD, BDD, and TDD would be highly advantageous • Passion for beautiful and well-tested code • In-depth understanding of the entire development process: design, development, and deployment • Experience working in product companies, preferably in fintech or payment infrastructure • Experience working in a small-team, fast-paced startup environment • Highly motivated self-starter who values autonomy and getting things done • Strong accountability mindset with ability to own end-to-end delivery • Payment infrastructure experience is a significant plus
