📋 Description

• Drive successful delivery and execution of projects within engineering teams • Manage end-to-end technical planning and translate product requirements into actionable tasks • Coordinate collaboration among engineers, product managers, QA, and UX • Own end-to-end delivery across cross-functional teams within the product area • Evaluate requirements for technical feasibility and architectural alignment • Translate requirements into EPICs and technical user stories • Refine, groom, and prioritize the backlog with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers • Plan and drive sprint execution, timelines, delivery milestones, and dependencies • Champion engineering processes and rituals that support collaboration, accountability, and efficiency • Monitor team velocity and capacity and optimize resource allocation • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and stakeholder alignment • Guide design decisions, enforce sound design patterns, and participate in code reviews • Ensure monitoring, alerting, and observability for owned services and adherence to SLIs and SLOs • Define, track, and publish post-release product metrics with Product Managers • Manage and mentor engineers, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field • 8–10 years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar hands-on technical role • 5+ years of experience building production systems using Java and Spring Boot • Minimum 3 years of engineering leadership experience managing high-performing teams • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery • Ability to translate complex product requirements into EPICs, user stories, and tasks • Strong backend engineering expertise; frontend exposure is a plus • Experience with project planning and tracking tools • Familiarity with engineering, product health metrics, and monitoring tools • Ability to debug complex production issues, lead incident response, and conduct blameless RCA • Understanding of modern deployment practices, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and associated metrics • Ability to drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders • Risk management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communication skills • Track record of improving team velocity, delivery predictability, and engineering excellence • Experience managing and mentoring engineers • Ability to assess bandwidth and manage resource distribution • Experience conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback • Ability to lead project status reviews and manage stakeholder expectations
