📋 Description

• Own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the Rewards Platform end to end • Improve the performance, reliability, and depth of the existing cashback product • Evolve cashback into a broader rewards, retention, engagement, and personalisation platform • Build and scale the engineering organisation, including structuring product units and hiring engineers and Engineering Managers • Establish an experimentation culture using A/B testing, cohort analysis, and measurement • Work with Growth, Sales, and Marketing to translate acquisition and retention objectives into engineering initiatives • Own the customer-facing rewards experience across mobile and web • Define architecture standards, engineering processes, and quality metrics • Own engineering health, including incidents, production defects, deployment frequency, change failure rate, and developer experience • Build the platform to serve customers across multiple geographies • Partner with Product to define rewards metrics and OKRs • Report functionally to the Group CTO and have a dual reporting line to the Product leader for Rewards

🎯 Requirements

• Direct-to-consumer product engineering experience at scale • Genuine front-end and mobile engineering depth • Experience running A/B tests, feature flagging, and measurement frameworks • At least 5 years of experience managing managers • 10+ years of overall software engineering experience • At least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases • Hands-on engineering experience and technical credibility • Comfort with Java and Spring Boot backend environments • Experience building and scaling an engineering organisation from a small base • Experience hiring and developing Engineering Managers • Strong collaboration with growth, marketing, and sales stakeholders • Rewards, loyalty, gamification, personalisation, or growth platform experience is advantageous but not required • Fintech or payments experience is advantageous but not required
