📋 Description

• Lead engineering for MonieCRM, Moniepoint's in-house operating system for its 50,000-strong sales network • Modernise and improve the reliability of systems supporting onboarding, network management, pipeline and portfolio management, performance, goals, compensation, sales experience, and support • Oversee wallets, commission calculation and attribution, cashout, and welfare funds with financial correctness as a core requirement • Lead partner management, rewards and retention platforms, and the Braze-based marketing technology stack • Re-architect legacy systems and make them dependable at a scale exceeding 20 million users • Build and run complex distributed platform systems across multiple markets • Ensure commissions and earnings are calculated, attributed, and paid accurately and on time • Enable commercial teams to operate faster through dependable tooling • Build a high-performing engineering organisation with strong managers and senior engineers • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience • At least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases • 5+ years of hands-on, production-level experience writing and shipping Java • At least 5 years managing managers • Proven platform engineering experience at scale, building and running complex distributed systems • Experience navigating legacy migrations and re-architecture projects at 20M+ user scale • Strong backend engineering skills in high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot • Experience managing and developing engineering teams of 20 or more members • Experience with financially correct systems such as commissions, payouts, wallets, or ledgers is a strong advantage • Fintech or payments background is strongly preferred • Exposure to Braze or similar customer engagement/marketing automation platforms is a plus • CRM or SalesTech experience is explicitly not required • Must complete the stated system design, panel, stakeholder management, technical, and culture fit interviews
