📋 Description

• Lead engineering for MonieCRM, Moniepoint’s in-house workforce operations platform serving a 50,000-strong sales network • Modernise and re-architect rapidly grown legacy systems • Improve platform reliability and performance at a scale of more than 20 million users • Own systems for wallets, commission calculation and attribution, cashout, and welfare funds • Ensure financial correctness of commissions and earnings at network scale • Scale sales and marketing platforms with a rapidly growing agent network across multiple markets • Support partner management, rewards and retention, and marketing technology including Braze • Build a high-performing engineering organisation with a strong bench of managers and senior engineers • Enable commercial teams to move faster through dependable tooling • Participate in system design, technical deep-dive, leadership, stakeholder management, and culture-fit hiring rounds

🎯 Requirements

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience • At least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases • 5+ years of hands-on, production-level experience writing and shipping Java code • At least 5 years managing managers and leading an engineering organisation through engineering leaders • Proven platform engineering experience at scale, building and running complex distributed systems • Experience with legacy migrations and re-architecture projects at 20M+ user scale • Strong backend engineering skills in high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot • Experience managing and developing engineering teams of 20 or more members • Experience with financial correctness systems such as commissions, payouts, wallets, or ledgers is a strong advantage • Fintech or payments background strongly preferred • Exposure to customer engagement or marketing automation platforms such as Braze is a plus, not a requirement • CRM or SalesTech domain experience is explicitly not required
