📋 Description

• Lead engineering for MonieCRM, Moniepoint’s in-house workforce operations platform for its 50,000-strong sales network • Modernise and re-architect rapidly grown legacy systems • Improve platform reliability and performance at a scale of more than 20 million users • Own systems including onboarding, network management, pipeline and portfolio, performance and goals, compensation, sales experience, and support • Ensure financial correctness for wallets, commission calculation and attribution, cashout, and welfare funds • Oversee partner management, rewards and retention platforms, and the marketing technology stack including Braze • Scale a sales and marketing platform across multiple markets • Develop a high-performing engineering organisation with strong managers and senior engineers • Ensure commissions and earnings are calculated, attributed, and paid accurately and on time • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience • At least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases • 5+ years of hands-on, production-level experience writing and shipping Java code • At least 5 years managing managers and leading an engineering organisation through other engineering leaders • Proven platform engineering experience at scale, including complex distributed systems • Experience navigating legacy migrations and re-architecture projects at 20M+ user scale • Strong backend engineering skills in high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot • Experience managing and developing engineering teams of 20 or more members • Experience with financial correctness systems such as commissions, payouts, wallets, or ledgers is a strong advantage • Fintech or payments background is strongly preferred • CRM or SalesTech experience is explicitly not required • Exposure to customer engagement or marketing automation platforms such as Braze is a plus, not a requirement
