📋 Description

• Lead engineering for MonieCRM, Moniepoint's in-house workforce operations platform serving a 50,000-strong sales network • Modernise and improve the reliability of systems supporting onboarding, network management, pipeline and portfolio management, performance, goals, compensation, sales experience, and support • Build and operate wallets, commission calculation and attribution, cashout, and welfare fund systems • Ensure financial correctness for systems processing commissions, payouts, and related funds • Oversee partner management, rewards and retention platforms, and the marketing technology stack including Braze • Re-architect rapidly grown legacy systems for dependable operation at more than 20 million users • Scale the sales and marketing platform across multiple markets • Develop a high-performing engineering organisation with strong managers and senior engineers • Participate in system design, technical deep-dive, stakeholder management, and leadership-focused hiring processes

🎯 Requirements

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience • At least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases • 5+ years of hands-on, production-level experience writing and shipping Java code • At least 5 years managing managers and leading an engineering organisation through other engineering leaders • Proven platform engineering experience at scale, including complex distributed systems • Experience navigating legacy migrations and re-architecture projects at 20M+ user scale • Strong backend engineering skills in high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot • Experience managing and developing engineering teams of 20 or more members • Experience with financially correct systems such as commissions, payouts, wallets, or ledgers is a strong advantage • Fintech or payments background is strongly preferred • CRM or SalesTech experience is explicitly not required • Exposure to customer engagement or marketing automation platforms such as Braze is a plus, not a requirement
