📋 Description

• Lead high-impact projects beginning on the Financial Operations (FinOps) team • Provide technical leadership across the company • Own and validate major architectural decisions • Contribute to payments and transaction systems, including Stripe, LayerFi, and Cherry integrations • Work across middleware and backend architecture, GraphQL schemas, APIs, and data models • Ramp on FinOps workflows, backend architecture, and release practices within three months • Deliver targeted backend fixes and improvements improving reliability, performance, or developer experience • Lead FinOps projects from design through architecture review, cross-functional collaboration, and launch • Develop technical proposals through review, approval, and implementation • Own organization-level engineering initiatives such as testing standards, SDLC, documentation, or code review • Establish measurable gains in engineering quality or velocity • Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering peers • Communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly

🎯 Requirements

• 8–12 years of backend engineering experience, including senior- or staff-level experience leading large initiatives and influencing architecture across teams • Staff-level hands-on IC experience leading large, ambiguous initiatives and owning scope, delivery, and tradeoffs • Experience building and shipping financial, payments, or transactions systems • Strong backend and API design judgment across middleware, GraphQL schemas, APIs, and data models • Experience making and defending major architectural decisions • Experience establishing or maturing unit testing, code review, documentation, or SDLC automation practices • Ability to partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and engineering peers • Fluency with AI tooling in daily work • Role is open to candidates based in Chile, Brazil, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic • Must answer whether visa sponsorship will be required to work in the United States
