📋 Description

• Own and evolve architecture within a defined infrastructure domain • Design and implement scalable, reliable systems across teams and environments • Establish best practices, patterns, and standards • Contribute to 6–18 month technical strategy • Lead ambiguous, high-impact infrastructure projects • Break down complex system problems into implementable solutions • Drive migrations, re-architectures, and performance/reliability improvements • Remain hands-on with critical systems and implementations • Collaborate across IT, SRE, Security, and Service Owner teams • Influence technical decisions through design reviews • Integrate office, data center, and cloud infrastructures • Improve reliability through monitoring, alerting, and operational design • Define SLIs/SLOs and capacity planning • Lead root cause analysis for complex incidents • Reduce operational toil through automation and system improvements • Design and support compute, DNS, networking, identity, and related infrastructure • Build automation using scripting and Infrastructure as Code • Mentor engineers and guide system design and troubleshooting • Maintain documentation, diagrams, and runbooks • Share knowledge across teams

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles • Strong experience designing and operating production infrastructure • Expertise in VMware, Cisco UCS, and application/network load balancers • Linux/Unix operating systems knowledge • Networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls • Experience with data center environments • Ability to lead complex technical work across teams • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Puppet/Ansible, and Python preferred • Familiarity with observability tooling and reliability practices preferred • Experience with containerization and modern platform tooling preferred • Exposure to infrastructure security best practices preferred • GitHub Enterprise Administration skills are bonus competencies, including user access management, GH organization/repository management, SSO/SCIM integration, and policy enforcement
