📋 Description

• Lead engineering strategy and technical execution for the healthcare interoperability portfolio • Define technology roadmaps, architecture standards, and development practices • Oversee the full software development lifecycle for a large API solution and multiple interoperability products and platforms • Recruit, mentor, coach, and retain engineering managers and individual contributors • Establish the engineering operating model, including resource planning, prioritization, capacity management, delivery governance, risk management, and support processes • Oversee software quality, security, and regulatory compliance for healthcare technology • Partner with Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, Engineering leadership, Customer Support leadership, and other stakeholders • Define and monitor metrics for team outcomes, delivery health, organizational maturity, and business impact • Drive self-service interoperability tooling, developer experience improvements, and AI-native engineering practices • Define and refine support policies, procedures, and escalation practices across U.S. and India time zones • Perform other duties supporting the overall objective of the position

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline • 10 years of experience in Software Engineering • 5+ years of leadership experience in engineering or technical management roles within Healthcare IT • Experience in the healthcare IT industry, with knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and applicable regulatory requirements • Experience with multi-team planning and coordination using the Scaled Agile Framework or a similar operating model • Experience working with Scrum, Kanban, or similar agile delivery methodologies • Experience managing multiple teams across different technology stacks and deployment models • Any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications • Knowledge of software development lifecycle principles, engineering delivery models, and modern software engineering practices, including AI-enabled and AI-native approaches • Knowledge of software quality, security, and compliance practices in a healthcare technology environment • Knowledge of programming languages, tools, and technologies commonly used in web application development • Knowledge of APIs, event-driven architectures, shared services platforms, and integration patterns • Knowledge of cloud environments, SaaS delivery models, and software platform economics • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability concepts, industry standards, and regulatory considerations • Knowledge of agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and scaled agile practices • Knowledge of performance management, team development, organizational maturity, and operating model design • Skill in leadership and people management, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and team development • Skill in strategic planning, prioritization, and execution in a matrixed organization • Skill in communication and collaboration with senior leaders, technical peers, product partners, and distributed teams • Skill in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting • Skill in project and program management in software development delivery • Skill in influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving alignment across multiple teams • Skill in translating technical needs into actionable delivery plans and measurable outcomes • Ability to lead high-performing engineering teams and manage multiple priorities across concurrent development efforts • Ability to drive technical strategy while balancing delivery, quality, security, and regulatory requirements • Ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed environment with teams across the U.S. and India • Ability to assess team maturity and create plans to strengthen capability and performance • Ability to partner with Engineering, Product, Enterprise Architecture, and other functions • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment • Ability to drive technical transformation through the backlog and support modernization efforts
