📋 Description

• Help build cloud platform functionality that sets up, manages, and protects networking in the Akamai Cloud • Design and implement clean, robust, and performant REST APIs for customers and internal teams • Develop and maintain internal libraries and microservices used by various Akamai teams • Design, implement, review, document, and test high-quality Python code in collaboration with the team • Review and contribute to architectural and design documents authored by other teams • Mentor other developers and collaborate with leadership and non-developer stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Background with mainstream programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or Go • Solid skills in writing, testing, and understanding complex software • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs • Experience with technical design, product specification reviews, projects, and backlog planning • Ability to work productively with team members to identify and resolve issues collaboratively • Good communication skills and experience communicating with leadership and non-developer stakeholders • Experience mentoring other developers • Curiosity and willingness to learn • English is the main working language • Experience with Python, Docker, pytest, MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Flask, Prometheus, and Grafana is relevant; experience with all tools is not expected • Experience developing microservices is a nice bonus
