📋 Description

• Contribute hands-on to the design and development of scalable, reliable systems • Define and evolve engineering strategy, architecture, and platform foundations with technical leaders and the CTPO • Manage a small team of engineers and support their development • Build a high-performance culture of learning, ownership, and feedback • Explore and implement AI tools to improve developer productivity and accelerate delivery • Partner with Product and Design to break down problems, plan effectively, and ship confidently • Remove friction and help the team achieve its goals • Lead site reliability practices, including observability, incident response, on-call, and scalable, secure, resilient systems • Shape product strategy and roadmap while partnering with technical leaders and the CTPO

🎯 Requirements

• Entrepreneurial mindset and care for the product, customer, and business • Proven ability to mentor or manage engineers while maintaining individual contributions • Product mindset and enjoyment of working closely with product and design • Pragmatic, action-oriented approach and ability to make decisions • Excitement about using AI to improve software development • Ability to work with ambiguity and shape the path forward • Experience with React, Ruby on Rails, AWS, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD technologies, or similar stack • Role can be based anywhere in New Zealand or Australia
