📋 Description

• Develop API-first services, data models, and system boundaries • Guide features from the user problem through the backend and data model to the UI and production • Implement product functionality using LLM APIs and agentic components • Use tool calling, evaluations, error handling, and monitoring • Own systems and ensure production quality through testing, CI/CD, and observability • Engage with teachers to identify their actual needs • Make decisions collaboratively with Product and Design • Design and operate APIs, data models, and services • Collaborate with the founders as well as the Product and Engineering teams

🎯 Requirements

• At least three years of experience developing and operating modern web applications • Ideally, experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js • Experience designing and implementing APIs, data models, and backend services • Strong command of API design, databases, and asynchronous processes • Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring is a plus • Knowledge of React and Next.js • Hands-on experience building LLM-based features or API-driven agentic systems • Understanding of tool calling, common model failures, and quality assurance and monitoring for these features • Ability to work with open-ended requirements and take ownership of systems in production • Product mindset and ability to connect technical decisions to user needs • Fluent in German and highly proficient in English
