📋 Description

• Perform orthographic, grammatical and textual proofreading of editorial content, ensuring linguistic quality and compliance with Portuguese language standards; • Proofread translations and adaptations, checking fidelity to the original content, reading flow and appropriateness for the target audience; • Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, agreement, typing errors and textual inconsistencies; • Assess coherence, clarity and standardization of texts, ensuring an appropriate reading experience; • Proofread dialogues, narratives, supporting texts, captions, titles, comic book speech balloons and other editorial elements; • Verify character names, specific terms, cultural references and information related to the works; • Ensure correct application of glossaries, editorial standards and project-specific guidelines; • Provide notes and suggestions for textual improvement when necessary; • Collaborate with translators, editors, layout designers and other professionals involved in the editorial process; • Check final materials before publication, contributing to the delivery of products with high editorial quality; • Meet proofreading deadlines according to the schedules defined for each project.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in proofreading texts and editorial materials; • Excellent command of Portuguese, grammar, spelling and text interpretation; • Attention to detail, critical thinking and ability to identify inconsistencies; • Experience proofreading books, magazines, comics, manga or similar materials; • Ability to work with different language styles and target audiences; • Organized, committed to deadlines and able to work autonomously.
