📋 Description

• Develop, implement and continuously improve Paymentology's global Business Continuity and Operational Resilience framework • Establish resilience governance, policies, procedures and reporting mechanisms • Identify important business services and define impact tolerances, recovery priorities and resilience requirements • Assess resilience maturity, identify gaps and drive improvements • Lead Business Impact Assessments and map critical services, processes, technology components, third-party dependencies, teams and locations • Develop and coordinate resilience testing programmes, tabletop exercises, crisis simulations and technical recovery exercises • Assess disaster recovery plans, runbooks and recovery capabilities against business requirements • Document testing outcomes, identify weaknesses and track remediation actions to closure • Develop and maintain the global crisis management framework, escalation procedures and response arrangements • Coordinate responses to major incidents and operational disruptions • Ensure continuity plans address critical operations, alternative working arrangements, employee safety and customer service continuity • Maintain resilience risk and remediation registers • Support regulatory alignment, client audits, due diligence, RFPs and regulatory reviews • Contribute to ISO 27001, PCI DSS and SOC 2 compliance initiatives • Build stakeholder relationships across Security, Technology, Operations, Risk and business teams • Define and monitor resilience KPIs and KRIs • Prepare reports for senior leadership and translate complex risks into practical recommendations • Support senior stakeholders in assessing residual risks and remediation priorities

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a strategic Business Continuity, Operational Resilience or related role • Experience ideally within financial services, banking, fintech, payments or another highly regulated environment • Proven experience designing and implementing Business Continuity and Operational Resilience frameworks • Strong practical knowledge of Business Impact Assessments, important business services, impact tolerances, dependency mapping and recovery prioritisation • Hands-on experience developing and coordinating resilience testing programmes, business continuity exercises and crisis management simulations • Familiarity with FCA Operational Resilience, DORA, ISO 22301 or equivalent international regulatory and industry standards • Ability to understand and challenge technical disaster recovery assumptions • Strong programme and project management skills • Sound risk judgement and ability to prioritise requirements and escalate significant resilience risks • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, written and verbal communication skills • Experience supporting audits, client due diligence, regulatory reviews and resilience assurance activities • Independent, proactive and hands-on approach • Experience with GRC platforms such as Drata, Vanta or equivalent solutions would be advantageous • Professional qualifications or membership of the Business Continuity Institute or equivalent bodies would be beneficial • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Ability to issue invoices as an independent contractor • Ability to pass credit, education, sanction and enforcement, employment, criminal and identity checks • Legal authorisation to work in the current country of residence without visa sponsorship or additional work authorisation
