📋 Description

• Leading and mentoring a team of estimators/quantity surveyors • Preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and cost breakdowns • Reviewing and validating estimates prepared by junior team members • Supporting tendering and bidding processes • Collaborating with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure pricing accuracy and project alignment • Implementing processes to improve estimating efficiency and cost control

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience as an **Estimator or Quantity Surveyor** in construction, including **at least 5 years in a leadership role managing or mentoring a team**. • Experience working on **Australian/New Zealand construction projects** is mandatory. • Strong understanding of **construction methods, materials, and pricing**. • Ability to **read and interpret Australian/New Zealand construction drawings and specifications**. • Experience using estimating and take-off tools such as **Pryda, Mitek, Bluebeam, CostX, PlanSwift, Excel, or similar software**. • Demonstrated ability to **manage, review, and guide junior estimators/quantity surveyors**. • Strong **numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills**. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to **work independently in a remote environment** and meet deadlines. • **Portfolio is required** to demonstrate previous estimating and project experience.
