Pennylane is a French SaaS platform that centralizes financial management, accounting, invoicing, expense management, treasury and business banking features for small and medium-sized businesses, independents and accounting firms. It provides an integrated dashboard, automated workflows, bank account and corporate cards, invoice and payment tools, and native integrations with accounting and payments partners to streamline bookkeeping and cashflow operations.

📋 Description

• You will spend a lot of time discovering users and their pain points. You will interview users, conduct user research, and dive into our data platform to gather insights about what needs to be solved. • With these insights and the company's objectives in mind, you will be empowered to define your OKRs and roadmaps to maximize impact on solving user problems and achieving company goals. • You will work hand-in-hand with a Product Designer dedicated to your team and a product-oriented engineering team. You will start with small steps (we love the MVP approach!) and oversee implementation and future iterations. For us, achieving a shared goal matters more than simply building features.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong user research skills and product sense: ability to build a strong conviction about users' needs and problems based on feedback from users (from all kinds of sources). • Strong structured communication skills to persuade and gain buy-in for your vision, onboard and lead the team, build relationships with commercial teams, and speak regularly with users. • Ability to navigate and simplify complex problems (understand, clarify, and break problems into smaller pieces). • Hands-on and unafraid to step outside the traditional product role to make the product successful (working on educational content and providing support when necessary). • Previous product management experience in a scale-up or a large tech company is required (ideally a company with a strong product culture). • Experience working with accounting is not required (generalist profiles welcome) as long as you are curious about accounting and comfortable with complexity.
