📋 Description
• Review and confirm engineering specifications for product development are complete and feasible • Propose elaboration and optimization of engineering specifications where possible • Communicate to ensure engineering specifications are clearly understood and aligned among internal and external engineers at ODM suppliers • Coordinate product development to meet timeline, specification, cost, and quality requirements • Understand product cost structures from BOMs and/or samples and drive potential cost improvements • Understand manufacturing processes and drive potential cost improvements • Support successful product launches • Build productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders • Perform other relevant assigned tasks
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related technical field • 3+ years of experience in design engineering, manufacturing engineering, project management, or a related role • Experience working with manufacturing suppliers or factories in China, preferably in consumer electronics, mobile technology accessories, plastics, or related consumer products • Knowledge of engineering design, project management, and manufacturing processes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other tools used for cost analysis, reporting, and data management • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and proficiency in English • Willingness to travel to supplier factories and manufacturing sites as required • Strong analytical and quantitative skills • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality • Effective project management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills • Clear communication and collaboration across suppliers, engineering teams, and international stakeholders • Proactive approach to identifying risks, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement
