📋 Description

• Lead, grow, and develop a team of 10+ engineers across infrastructure, Payments, Data, Developer Experience, and L3 engineering • Own the technical roadmap for Core Platform in partnership with engineering leadership and Product • Drive reliability and operational excellence by defining SLOs, leading incident response culture, and improving postmortems • Improve CI/CD, local development, observability tooling, and deployment practices • Own billing and payments infrastructure in partnership with the Payments team • Hire, mentor, and retain senior engineers • Build a team that sets the organization’s technical standard • Translate business constraints into platform capabilities across Finance, Product, and Engineering • Ship foundational features that unlock product growth

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a meaningful portion in platform, infrastructure, or foundational systems • 3+ years leading engineering teams • Spanish and English business proficiency • Strong individual contributor background, including staff or senior engineering experience • Experience leading teams of 8 or more engineers in a distributed environment • Ability to review architecture, participate in design discussions, and challenge technical decisions • Experience owning reliability at scale, including SLOs, on-call culture, incident management, and postmortems • Understanding of platform investment economics and balancing long-term health with short-term delivery • Clear communication and ability to work asynchronously • Strong written and spoken English • Active use of AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle • Experience building AI-powered tooling or agents that shipped to production
