The platform offers branded iOS/Android/web apps, waitlists and priority access, integrated payment processing, and tools for events, lessons, and pro-shop sales.

📋 Description

• Architect and build core payments infrastructure across online, in-person, and recurring billing flows • Own the reliability of money movement, including idempotency, webhook processing, failure recovery, and reconciliation • Drive PCI DSS scope hygiene and keep financial systems auditable and observable • Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Club Operations to ship features such as split payments, deposits, multi-currency, and marketplace payouts • Set the engineering bar for payments-critical code • Mentor engineers across the team

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years building backend systems in production environments with real operational responsibility and significant focus on payments or financial systems • Hands-on production experience with Adyen • Familiarity with Checkout, Terminal API, tokenization, webhooks, or Adyen for Platforms • 3+ years of demonstrable Ruby on Rails experience in production environments • Understanding of idempotency, exactly-once semantics, currency precision, and ledger thinking • Proven ability to operate high-availability services, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and postmortems • Ability to work in a high-velocity environment while maintaining a correctness-first mindset • Clear communication and async collaboration • Strong written and spoken English • Active use of AI tools throughout design, coding, code review, testing, debugging, and incident analysis • Experience building AI-powered tooling or agents that shipped to production
