📋 Description

• Design and implement enterprise storage and backup architectures aligned with business, availability, recovery, capacity, and security requirements • Administer and maintain storage arrays, SAN fabrics, and backup platforms • Perform daily health checks, storage provisioning, host integration, backup client configuration, scheduling, retention policy management, and replication • Plan and execute installations, upgrades, migrations, capacity expansions, and proof-of-concept deployments • Conduct testing, validation, and rollback procedures • Monitor and analyze system health, performance, capacity, and backup success; resolve bottlenecks and implement improvements • Resolve incidents, problems, and service requests; provide Tier 3 support • Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions • Perform restores and recovery tests and support disaster-recovery exercises • Apply security controls, hardening standards, and approved configuration changes in accordance with policies and change-management procedures • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on maintenance, upgrades, interoperability, and complex issue resolution • Develop and maintain tools and scripts to automate provisioning, monitoring, reporting, and routine operations • Deliver storage and backup projects, including technical assessments, business cases, project proposals, and operational handover • Maintain technical designs, configuration records, runbooks, and recovery procedures • Share knowledge and promote best practices within the team • Participate in standby/on-call duties and planned maintenance when required

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant IT work experience in managing and configuring enterprise Storage and Backup environments and related services in a complex heterogeneous environment • Extensive hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting block and file storage systems across multiple vendor platforms, including NetApp, Dell PowerStore, and Dell ECS systems • Excellent knowledge of installation and administration of enterprise backup systems, including Dell Avamar, PPDM, Data Domain, and Veeam B&R • Expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution for storage and backup infrastructures • Solid understanding of Cisco/Brocade Fabric switches, VSANs, WWPNs, NPIV, multipathing, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI • Strong understanding of data protection, disaster recovery, and backup and storage management best practices • Good understanding of networking technologies • Working experience with shell scripting and automation tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision • Customer-centric approach to delivery and problem solving • Good knowledge of ITIL service management methodology • Professional proficiency in English required • Spanish is a plus • Experience with Hyper Converged Infrastructure or Software Defined Storage solutions is advantageous • Experience with cloud storage solutions such as AWS S3 and Azure Blob Storage • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V • Industry-recognized certifications in Storage, Backup, or Cloud Technologies are advantageous • Certifications in programming languages or scripting frameworks are advantageous • ITIL, ISO20000, or PRINCE2 certifications are advantageous

• Teleworking: up to 5 days per week • Overtime rates: 125% of the daily rate Monday to Saturday, and 150% on Sundays and client public holidays • Overtime and on-call interventions may alternatively be compensated with time off, if mutually agreed by both parties • Stand-by availability for on-call services is included in the daily rate
