📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers in APAC • Report directly to the Global Director of HW Engineering and Compliance • Lead development, validation, and launch of innovative products and systems • Manage engineering projects from concept through production, including schedules, budgets, and business alignment • Provide technical guidance for product development, design reviews, risk assessments, and problem-solving • Drive collaboration across engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, product management, and external partners • Establish engineering priorities, allocate resources, and manage workloads • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards • Oversee product verification, validation, and qualification activities • Review and approve engineering documentation, specifications, test plans, and design changes • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation plans • Support continuous improvement in product quality, development processes, and operational efficiency • Partner with OEM, ODM, and JDM suppliers, external engineering firms, and testing laboratories • Track project progress, communicate status, and escalate issues • Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and career development • Evaluate new technologies, tools, and processes to improve product development capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline • 8+ years of engineering experience in product development, manufacturing, or related technical field • 3+ years of engineering leadership or people management experience • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex engineering projects • Strong understanding of product development processes, design controls, and engineering best practices • Understanding of reliability analysis, statistical tolerance, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Ability to manage simultaneous tasks in a demanding environment • Candidates must already possess valid documentation or authorization to work legally in Taiwan • No visa sponsorship available • Preferred: Master’s Degree • Preferred: Experience designing Android-based display systems • Preferred: Electronics design expertise in digital display systems, motors and motor controllers, power supplies, and electromagnetics • Preferred: Working knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and EMI • Preferred: Knowledge of radiated and conducted immunity for FCC and CE regulatory requirements • Preferred: Knowledge of business and management principles for strategic planning, resource allocation, and project management • Preferred: Knowledge of UL 1647 and IEC 60335
