📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the strategic and operational aspects of the engineering department • Advocate for and implement efficient and innovative engineering solutions for clients • Manage, guide, train, and mentor the engineering team • Foster a collaborative and inspiring team environment • Coordinate with department leaders to align engineering projects with business goals • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client specifications • Define KPIs for productivity, delivery, and quality • Establish feedback mechanisms and ensure timely follow-up • Apply quality assurance processes and maintain compliance with standards and regulations • Monitor industry trends and technologies to improve services • Drive continuous improvement and maintain team utilization and billability targets • Develop action plans when targets are missed • Ensure market-relevant training and cross-training to maintain utilization • Review and identify risks for client projects and internal initiatives • Mentor and grow managers; hire and interview managers, QAs, developers, and other staff as needed • Step into projects to resolve blockers • Prevent knowledge silos and maintain interdepartmental collaboration • Work with R&D on internal initiatives and manage their delivery • Ensure engineering team needs are met and provide technical and non-technical support • Prevent over-allocation and mitigate burnout • Assess upcoming projects, team composition, organizational needs, and resource balance between internal and client work

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical field • Proven experience in an engineering leadership role, preferably within a consulting environment • Strong project management skills • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities • Exceptional leadership and team management skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Commitment to excellence and continued professional development • 2+ years of development experience at some point during the career • Familiarity with bash scripting, Java, Jenkins, and DevOps • Preferred: experience with Salesforce • Preferred: experience working in consulting firms • Must be located in Poland
