BotCity is a software platform that enables enterprises to build, orchestrate, govern, and scale automation based on code (notably Python) and computer vision. It provides a cloud orchestrator, developer tooling, session and infrastructure management, security and compliance features, and integrations with major cloud and office platforms to centralize governance and reduce risks from unmanaged scripts (Shadow Python). BotCity targets enterprise IT and automation teams, offering SaaS delivery, orchestration, observability (KPIs/insights), and support for deploying automations across VMs, containers and serverless environments.

📋 Description

• Develop, deploy, and maintain native applications and system-level components in Rust. • Ensure high performance, stability, and minimal resource consumption of software running on customer endpoints. • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to determine what to build and how. • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture and stack decisions for the agent. • Participate in code reviews and uphold best practices in Rust and systems development. • Write clear technical documentation to support effective collaboration across teams. • Build and own the native Rust agent behind BotCity Sentinel, which runs on customer endpoints across major operating systems to track and govern executing code. • Report to the VP of Engineering.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. • 5+ years of software engineering experience with systems programming languages (Rust, C, or C++). • 3+ years of hands-on, production experience writing, deploying, and maintaining Rust applications. • Deep, practical understanding of Rust's ownership model, borrow checker, and lifetimes. • Expertise in Rust concurrency patterns, including multithreading, synchronization primitives, and asynchronous programming. • Ability to write safe, idiomatic Rust code and carefully manage unsafe blocks when required for performance or FFI integrations. • Experience building native/desktop applications or system-level software, not only web back-end/front-end. • Solid knowledge of operating system internals, especially Windows, including processes, threads, memory, IPC, and file systems. • Experience profiling and optimizing code for performance, memory safety, and low resource consumption. • Prior experience in an early-stage, high-growth, fast-paced startup environment. • Experience with Git and GitHub, CI/CD, automated testing, and cross-compilation/build pipelines for native binaries. • Experience with MS Office/Excel, Google Suite, and Notion. • Ability to travel as needed to support events and meet the team. • Fluent Portuguese. • Advanced English. • Preferred: Working knowledge of Python, especially Rust–Python integration such as PyO3/maturin. • Preferred: Knowledge of system tracing, instrumentation, hooking/interception, or security/endpoint agents. • Preferred: Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS internals; FFI and interoperability between languages.
