📋 Description

• Own Android features from technical design through implementation, testing, release, and production monitoring • Build intuitive and accessible mobile interfaces for creators and users • Develop resilient integrations across APIs, authentication, caching, and background processing • Contribute to Android architecture and technical decisions that improve scalability and maintainability • Diagnose and resolve crashes, performance issues, memory problems, device-specific behavior, and network-related issues • Monitor production performance and proactively identify areas for improvement • Improve application stability, release quality, and overall user experience • Participate in a defined production-support rotation and take ownership of issues through resolution • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code • Strengthen automated test coverage for critical Android user journeys • Participate in code reviews and provide thoughtful technical feedback • Mentor other engineers and contribute to engineering best practices • Independently design, write, debug, test, and maintain production-quality software • Use coding assistants and AI agents effectively while validating AI-generated code • Protect proprietary code and sensitive information when using AI tools • Collaborate with Android and iOS Engineering, Backend Engineering, QA, Product, and Design • Report to the Engineering Lead

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial native Android development experience • Strong experience with Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack, Android lifecycle, concurrency, and API integration • Experience building, shipping, and maintaining production Android applications • Strong automated testing experience • Experience troubleshooting mobile applications across different devices, networks, and performance conditions • Understanding of mobile security, accessibility, CI/CD, and application release processes • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills • Ability to work independently while collaborating with Product, Design, QA, backend, and iOS teams • Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance • Experience working on media, creator, social, community, or social-feed products is a plus
