📋 Description

• Build responsive, accessible web applications and reusable UI components. • Develop features using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and front-end frameworks. • Integrate APIs, authentication, analytics, and third-party services. • Translate product and design requirements into production-ready experiences. • Ensure consistent behavior across supported browsers and devices. • Improve front-end performance, reliability, and usability. • Test critical user journeys across browsers, devices, and network conditions. • Implement automated tests and validate accessibility, performance, and functional requirements. • Investigate production issues and reduce recurring defects. • Deploy and maintain web applications in AWS environments. • Collaborate with Platform/SRE engineers on hosting and operational readiness. • Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues in production. • Manage application configuration and environment-specific settings. • Monitor application health, errors, and performance. • Participate in deployment and rollback processes and establish CI/CD workflows. • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews. • Follow secure development practices and protect credentials and user data. • Document technical decisions and operational procedures. • Participate in production-support rotation as needed. • Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, Security, and Platform Engineering. • Report directly to the Head of Engineering as an individual contributor. • Partner with the Principal Platform Engineer on AWS infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and operational readiness.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience developing production web applications. • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. • Experience with a modern front-end framework such as React, Vue, Angular, or similar. • Experience building responsive, accessible web applications. • Hands-on experience integrating APIs and authentication systems. • Experience with browser security and common web application security practices. • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests. • Strong Git and CI/CD experience. • Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting applications in AWS. • An active AWS certification is required. • AWS Certified Developer – Associate is preferred. • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. • Comfortable using AI-assisted and agentic coding tools while maintaining strong technical judgment. • Ability to develop software with and without AI coding assistants. • Ability to independently design, write, debug, test, and maintain production code. • Ability to review and validate AI-generated code. • Ability to identify security, reliability, and maintainability issues in AI-generated implementations. • Ability to protect proprietary code, credentials, customer information, and other sensitive data when using AI tools.
