📋 Description

• Administer and maintain Red Hat servers through patching, updates, upgrades, and performance tuning • Provide after-hours on-call support and respond to system incidents and alerts • Implement and manage infrastructure changes with documentation, testing, and execution • Perform server security hardening, vulnerability assessments, and security incident response • Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability • Collaborate with network, database, application, and other IT teams • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing • Automate system administration activities using Python, Ansible, Bash, and applicable scripting technologies • Create and maintain system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting documentation • Maintain knowledge of current server administration, security, and operations technologies • Support Bell Canada infrastructure as part of a global IT team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields • At least 3 years of Server Administration experience specializing in Red Hat Server platforms • At least 3 years of experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, VMware vCenter, and Red Hat OpenStack • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with scripting languages and automation tools, including PowerShell and Python • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing • Ability to administer, maintain, troubleshoot, patch, upgrade, secure, and optimize Red Hat server environments • Ability to use Python, Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, and applicable automation technologies • Ability to manage and support VMware vSphere, VMware vCenter, and Red Hat OpenStack • Ability to apply server hardening, vulnerability assessment, patch management, security incident response, and compliance practices • Must be amenable to be assigned to morning, mid, or night shifts • Preferred: Experience supporting a 24/7 operational environment • Preferred: Experience managing RHEL and other Linux distributions • Preferred: Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite • Preferred Red Hat, OpenStack, VMware, or ITIL certifications
