📋 Description

• Own Voice AI agent capabilities end to end, from problem discovery and experimentation through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and impact measurement • Improve conversational quality, including latency, turn-taking, barge-in, speech recognition, multilingual behavior, protocol adherence, and transfers • Design fail-safe behaviors and strengthen service resilience and observability • Respond to production issues through contributing-factors analysis, mitigation, and prevention • Build and use automated evaluations, call-replay tools, production metrics, and controlled traffic trials • Identify regressions, quantify trade-offs, and improve model and system behavior • Work across the full stack, including Python backend, AI model behavior, and React/TypeScript UI • Use AI tools for code, testing, call analysis, and incident triage while owning architecture, safety boundaries, and production decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 2-3+ years of back-end or full-stack engineering experience shipping production software end to end • Hands-on experience building AI/LLM applications • Solid fundamentals in distributed systems, APIs, and operational reliability • Real-time voice, streaming media, or conversational agent experience is a strong plus • Strong Python proficiency, including async programming • Flexibility to work full-stack with TypeScript/React frontend; prior experience is a plus or willingness to learn • Ability to evaluate non-deterministic AI behavior using datasets, automated metrics, qualitative call review, controlled experiments, and statistical reasoning • Self-starter with an ownership mindset and bias for action • Product-minded problem-solving and evidence-based trade-off skills • Clear written and verbal communication and collaborative approach • Fluency with AI-assisted coding and AI-forward working practices • Willingness to join a weekly on-call rotation • Willingness to travel 1-2 times per quarter for in-person team gatherings, mostly within Europe
