📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership for the evolution of RD Station’s AI Agent Builder within the AI Alliance • Work on the Python backend and lead architecture discussions • Help the team make autonomous decisions while ensuring scalability, resilience, and quality • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Frontend, translating needs into viable, sustainable technical solutions • Continuously enhance the capabilities of the AI Agent Builder • Develop scalable, resilient, and observable backend solutions • Lead solution design and technical decisions aligned with engineering standards and the area’s architecture • Coordinate execution across backend and frontend, anticipating dependencies and removing blockers • Raise the team’s technical maturity through code reviews, feedback, and knowledge sharing • Own observability, performance, incidents, and technical debt management • Ensure roadmap predictability by balancing speed, quality, and sustainability • Use AI tools, such as Cursor, responsibly, with accountability for quality, security, and maintainability

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience in Python backend development, building and evolving highly complex applications and services • Experience with software architecture, REST APIs, distributed systems, and service-to-service integrations • Proficiency in engineering best practices, including SOLID, design patterns, automated testing, and code quality • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and asynchronous or event-driven processing • Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, and observability • Experience serving as a technical reference, mentoring other engineers through code reviews and technical discussions • Ability to assess trade-offs among scalability, performance, security, timelines, and business impact • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams and technical leadership of backend and frontend teams • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools • Ownership, clear communication, pragmatism, and curiosity to learn in a rapidly changing environment • Experience with products based on Generative AI, LLMs, or AI agents is a plus • Knowledge of agent architectures, tool orchestration, and prompt engineering is a plus • Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and integrations between agents and external services is a plus • Experience with LLMOps practices, monitoring, and evaluation of AI applications is a plus • Knowledge of React and TypeScript is a plus • Experience with GCP, Docker, Kafka and/or Pub/Sub, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Datadog is a plus • Experience with rapidly evolving digital products and scaling challenges is a plus
