📋 Description

• Own the architecture of backend and frontend applications and guide them toward maturity • Write production code in services with a focus on security, reliability, and architectural soundness • Partner with InfoSec to implement security controls and reduce attack surface • Mature database practices, including data modeling, schema design, roles, and permissions • Establish and enforce access-control and permission-management best practices • Define infrastructure and implementation targets for the R&D DevOps team and verify delivery • Serve as the source of truth for infrastructure and security decisions across Automation Ops • Mentor engineers on architecture, secure coding, and database design • Review infrastructure- and security-relevant code changes • Identify recurring failure root causes and implement lasting fixes • Document infrastructure standards, operating procedures, and architectural decisions • Support migration of services to AWS by setting target architecture and validating results • Participate in the on-call rotation for infrastructure and security alerts only

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must be based in India • 5+ years of professional experience across software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles • Meaningful hands-on application-code experience using Python • Deep working knowledge of AWS and cloud architecture, including ECS, RDS, SQS, IAM, API Gateway, and Lambda • Experience designing and reviewing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, staged rollouts, and rollback practices • Experience building and running Docker containerized applications in ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes • Strong backend engineering skills and ability to make security decisions at code level • Experience maturing PostgreSQL practices, including data modeling, roles, permissions, performance, and recovery • Practical experience designing and enforcing access control and identity management • Experience partnering with security teams to reduce production attack surface • Experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills • Hands-on AI infrastructure experience, professionally or through personal projects • Experience deploying open-source models for local or self-hosted inference • Experience operating cloud inference environments • Familiarity with model-serving platforms and inference runtimes • Experience designing or deploying production AI agent systems • Experience implementing tracing, evaluation, and observability for AI agents • Familiarity with LangSmith, Langfuse, Arize Phoenix, or OpenTelemetry • Familiarity with SOC 2, GDPR, or similar compliance requirements • Experience with frontend applications using React and TypeScript • Ability to sit for long periods of time • Must be willing to work 5:30 PM–2:30 AM IST
