📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain core APIs and backend services • Own operations and monitoring of production systems • Integrate third-party systems and APIs into the platform • Own the design and implementation of new features and services • Identify best practices and create or suggest standards for the engineering department • Document and demonstrate solutions through documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code • Mentor junior colleagues and onboard new joiners • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions • Offer insights and present achievements and results in relevant meetings • Occasionally propagate backend changes to frontend applications

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing and building scalable backend services in a modern production environment • Strong proficiency in Go • Deep understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design • General frontend knowledge and ability to perform basic tasks in frontend applications • Self-starter with strong ownership and initiative • Ability to quickly learn and navigate complex systems • Excellent English skills • Based in a European time zone • Open to candidates based in Europe, including the UK, only • Valid right to work • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience is desired
