📋 Description

• Proactively conduct inside telephone and email sales and marketing to increase profitable sales • Establish and maintain customer relationships • Process customer quotes and orders • Quote product prices, delivery specifications, and payment terms • Offer substitute products where appropriate • Assist outside sales personnel by processing priority transactions • Use digital tools to sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products • Answer technical questions and increase sales to new and existing customers • Prospect for new accounts within a specified geographical territory • Manage a defined customer base, including larger or more complex customers • Evaluate customer operations to identify objectives, requirements, and preferences • Close orders and promptly resolve customer issues using root-cause analysis • Process product quotations and proposals and follow up through the purchasing cycle • Report company, competitor, pricing, product, and market-trend information to management • Participate in product meetings, seminars, and training • Pursue product applications using internal specialists, vendor representatives, and other resources • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of customer service, sales, and experience in electrical distribution industry • High School or GED required • Ability to handle complex issues and problems • Comprehensive product and application knowledge • Positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers • Customer-oriented and motivated • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and problem-solving skills • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills • Ability to drive decisions with influence • Highly self-motivated • Familiarity with Microsoft Office • Familiarity with relevant ERP systems and Customer Relationship Management tools (CRM) • Ability to work overtime as needed • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation • Commitment to effective customer service delivery, integrity, and productive teamwork • Ability to remain stationary, move around the office/work location, operate computers and office machinery, and occasionally crouch, climb, lift, and travel to offsite locations
