📋 Description

• Design and own the integration architecture between the Agentic ERP Platform and SAP ECC/EHP environments • Define the SAP tool taxonomy, including which BAPIs, RFCs, and transactions become agent-consumable tools • Design SAP LUW handling, commit/rollback strategies, concurrency controls, and data consistency guarantees • Enforce safe Park/Post patterns for SAP write tools • Implement tiered autonomy progression for SAP tools: Read, Draft, Supervised, and Autonomous • Build and maintain SAP connectors translating platform requests into BAPI/RFC calls, IDoc exchanges, or OData API interactions • Implement SAP-specific data validation and transformation logic • Design fallback mechanisms for integration failures, including read-only degraded mode and queued writes • Build SAP JCo connection pooling, credential handling, and multi-system landscape support • Serve as SAP ECC subject matter expert for the engineering team • Guide MCP Server Developers on SAP tool implementations, schema design, and response patterns • Design SAP integration test strategies, sandbox environments, data fixtures, and regression suites • Document SAP integration patterns, limitations, and troubleshooting guides • Collaborate with the Oracle Integration Lead on consistent ERP integration patterns and shared tooling • Work with AI Data Engineers on SAP data extraction for knowledge pipelines and retrieval systems • Coordinate with QA Engineers on integration test coverage and validation • Advise the Security & Identity Lead on SAP authentication and authorization requirements • Report to the VP, Platform Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of experience working with SAP systems, with deep knowledge of SAP ECC and Enhancement Packages • 8+ years of integration engineering experience building APIs, connectors, or middleware for enterprise systems • Hands-on experience with SAP integration interfaces: BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, OData, and CDS views • Experience designing integration architectures for complex, multi-module SAP implementations • Awareness of S/4HANA • SAP ECC and EHP: BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, OData services, and CDS views • Ability to read, debug, and where necessary extend ABAP code for integration purposes • SAP JCo for RFC/BAPI connectivity • Java 21 with Quarkus 3.x • RESTful API design and implementation • PostgreSQL • OpenTelemetry • Transaction management: SAP LUW, commit/rollback strategies, idempotency, and concurrency handling • Git version control and CI/CD practices • Integration test design, mock services, and contract testing • Deep SAP ECC domain knowledge and understanding of ERP business processes • Fluent English, written and verbal • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (desired) • SAP certifications (desired) • Experience in enterprise software support or SAP consulting (desired) • Portuguese is a plus
